A draft moratorium local law (modeled on Newfield's) was rewritten twice between July and mid-August 2026 on the advice of Town legal counsel Guy Krogh. At its August 12, 2026 meeting the Town Board did NOT set a public hearing as previously expected; it instead held off action, pushing back the hearing and the law's adoption to October 2026 at the earliest. · Data centers
